COVID-19 Vaccine Information
Vaccination against COVID-19 is the best way to help prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19. COVID-19 vaccines are widely available, including at the Scioto County Health Department. The following links provide excellent resources for information about COVID-19 vaccines.
The Scioto County Health Department offers COVID-19 vaccines for the general public, ages 6 months and older, on a walk-in basis in our clinic, located at 612 6th Street (lower level), Portsmouth, OH 45662. Our walk in schedule for COVID vaccine is:
Children under age 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. (If a legal guardian, please bring proof of guardianship.)
We currently stock 8 types of COVID-19 vaccine authorized in the US, including the new Pfizer and Moderna booster shots (updated to include better protection against the Omicron variants).

The CDC offers a free, optional, online program. If you register, you can receive a reminder when your second dose is due.
